When Bums Unite
So I haven't really been posting as much as I'd like, mainly because I've been working non-stop this month. 21 days of May and I've spent 20 of them working.
Anywho, I saw one of the funniest things I've seen here in San Francisco and for those of you who read this blog when I have something to say or know me, that's a small feat!
On Sunday, on my way to work, I heard some weird sounds over my lovely wakeup music of Mariah Carey. I turned off my mp3 player to listen in. What I heard can best be described as tonal hell. There were two bums "playing" music in the train station. Mind you, I have seen each of these bums independently of each other "playing" music. One has a stand up bass and has no idea how to play it. The other has drums but I previously saw him with a violin and guitar and believe I have even written about him here.
The sounds that they produced as a group was HORRIFIC. There was no melody, no chords, no beat, just weird discordant sounds that would make even the most dissonant music aficionado cry. Needless to say the little bag in front of them for collecting money was empty but I applaud them for trying (mainly so I can block out the sounds).
